It's not just a daydream if you decide to make it your life
Time to stop dreaming and start doing...
Let's talk about
We all have dreams.
Maybe yours is to change your career or your life in some way. Or to make the trip somewhere in the world that you've been thinking about for years now. Or maybe you just have that feeling in your gut that you were meant for something greater.
We all have these big ideas as kids and believe we can achieve anything. But after all those years of 'adulting' we can lose our way. Sometimes it's hard to keep your dream alive. And at other times your dreams can remain daydreams for far too long.
We want to change that.
Hi, I'm Holly, and back in 2014 I was in a job I hated with a passion, but one I happened to be good at. With a 20-year corporate career behind me, the easy option was to sit it out, accept that every Sunday night would be torture, but know that I was firmly in my comfort zone.
But that little voice in me that had been whispering for years that I was destined for more, got progressively louder and louder. And by 2015 it was a deafening roar that could no longer be ignored.
So I left that safe situation, dreaming of devoting myself to helping other people achieve their own career and life goals. Dreaming of having the flexibility to be there for my children's school events, to get the puppy they'd been promised for years, and to feel like I was doing 'My Thing' at last.
I won't say the journey was easy (daydreams don't always work like that), but fast-forward to today and I run a business helping people like you achieve their daydreams, and I haven’t missed a sports day yet. Oh, and Macy the cockapoo has changed all our lives for the better.
I want the same for you.
Whatever your big dreams are, if you paint the picture of your future, if you stay focused on your goal, if you believe in yourself then you will make it happen. And that's a whole lot easier when you have someone who's been there, right beside you, on what might just turn out to be the best decision you ever made.
You're just a daydream away from a totally different life.
I'm proof of that - and if I can do it, you can too.
Are you fed up of
Feeling Like This?
I've dreamed of changing my life for years. I've just never done it for some reason...
I barely have time to grab a coffee - how on earth would I find time to transform my life?
I don't know what I want from life - I just know it's not this. I feel lost and overwhelmed.
I want to feel confident and excited again about my career - right now it feels like a chore.
I'm smart so why can't I figure this out? I'm scared I'll stay stuck like this forever...
I'm stuck in a rut, but the idea of doing something different scares the life out of me.
I'm frustrated - I think I know what I want but haven't a clue where to start.
I always put everyone else first, and have lost sight of me. Maybe it's my time now?
I have this crazy dream - but it's exactly that. Nobody would take me seriously.
If so, then you've come to the right place.

...the benefits that I have gained from working with Holly are more than evident, demonstrated in the very positive progress I have made...
After returning to full time education as a mature student which culminated in me obtaining a MA in Social Research from the University of Warwick in 2018, I finally had the opportunity that I had been working towards which was to ultimately change the direction of my career, and soon enough I secured a position within the field of Executive Research. It would be fair to say that I had a degree of trepidation prior to beginning my new job, mainly due to previously unfulfilling and negative work experiences, and it was Holly to whom I turned to help resolve any held concerns and to best prepare me for this important next step. Holly provided a structured programme, covering substantive topics related to my new job together with the recommendation of useful resources and tools to enable me to make an immediate impact in my new role. Such was the positive experience, that I decided to continue with regular 1-1 sessions over the following six months, which saw Holly provide me with further guidance and advice as I went forward in my new position. As the end of 2018 approaches the benefits that I have gained from working with Holly are more than evident, demonstrated in the very positive progress I have made with my new company thus far, helping me affirm Executive Research as a sector in which I can establish an exciting and promising new career.

Holly has been invaluable to me over the last year
Holly is a great person to have on your side when thinking about your career. I decided to start my own business in 2017 and Holly has been a fantastic support. She will always challenge me and coax me out of my comfort zone, she's very astute at identifying when I am just trying to avoid a situation I'm not very confident about. She is pragmatic and will help me to admit something is not working and identify an alternative. Holly has been invaluable to me over the last year.
You still have
Coaching seems like a big investment - how can I justify the cost?
I get it, I do. But here’s the thing - think about all the things we use to try and make ourselves feel better: new cars, expensive holidays, spontaneous shopping sprees, luxury spa days, extravagant meals with a few too many cocktails - and the list goes on and on. While they look nice and shiny on the surface, they're all an attempt to feel better about ourselves and the life we're living.
Yet people are scared to spend a fraction of this 'feel-good' pot on coaching - probably because it's a brave and potentially scary thing to do. It's whispering, "I want more from life". It's proclaiming, "I'm determined to make a change that lasts". It's shouting from the rooftops, "I've had enough of this crap". Let's be real - holidays make us feel good, but they only last for two weeks a year. On the other hand, coaching gives us those same good feelings, but they last a lifetime.
How do I figure out if this sort of coaching is for me?
If you're sick to the back teeth of feeling 'stuck' in your life, aware that you're not fulfilling your potential and frustrated that everyone else seems to be moving forward while you're not, then coaching is for you. If you're using the F word - and by that I mean the word 'fine', whenever you're asked about your life, then coaching is for you.
For many people, the very reason they're drawn to coaching (because they're feeling indecisive, stuck and merely 'fine' with life), is the very thing that keeps them from actually getting the support they need! To help with your decision let's talk. Let's make sure that this coaching is right for you, and that we're a good fit for each other. If, at the end of our chat, I'm not the coach for you, then we say our goodbyes - simple as. So if a chat feels right for you as a starting point, then grab a coffee/something stronger and get in touch.
What kind of people do you work with?
I coach people who want to describe their lives as more than just 'fine', who want and expect more out of their time on this earth. I coach people who, on the outside, seem and look like they have it all together (cool as a cucumber), but on the inside, they feel all over the place (squirrel in traffic). I coach people who understand themselves well enough to know that the way they're feeling won't be fixed with another bottle of wine, or another new bag or pair of shoes. I coach people who recognise that without real change, their daydream will stay exactly that, and they're ready and willing to do whatever it takes (within reason!) to get there. If you don't have a clear idea of what you want - just that it's not 'this', don't worry. Wanting to change is enough and coaching with me will get you there.
I'm probably not for you if you expect to do this without some deep questions from me as to why you've ended up where you are today, and why your daydream has been languishing on the sidelines for so long. Expect head-scratching and 'a-ha' moments a-plenty; moving forwards means getting real, and sometimes that can get messy. I'm probably not for you if you expect me to do all the work for you. I'll play many roles as we work together: personal sat-nav, cheerleader and kick-ass accountability partner (to name just a few!) - I put everything into the coaching process and I expect my clients to do 100% the same.
I'm not sure now is the right time?
I'll let you into a little secret - it will never feel like the right time. Change is scary and our natural default mode is to play in our comfort zone and park the hard stuff for another day. One question to ask yourself is, "How will I feel in 5 years' time if I don't do something today?" If your answer scares the poop out of you, then maybe taking that next step today is better than a further 5 years of 'fine'. Another question is, "Where could I be in 5 years' time if I take that first step today?" If the answer makes you smile/fills you with hope/gives you goosebumps - well you know what you need to do.
